Arrest Warrant Issued for Female BJ Who Extorted 800 Million Won from Kim Junsu

On November 15, the Munhwa Ilbo reported, citing authorities, that the Gyeonggi Northern Police Agency requested an arrest warrant on November 13 for BJ A, active on Afreeca TV, on charges of blackmail under the Aggravated Punishment Act for Specific Economic Crimes.
A is accused of extorting around 840 million won (approx $630,000 USD) from Kim Junsu over 101 instances from September 2020 to last month.

According to the investigation, A allegedly threatened Kim Junsu by recording conversations and sexual encounters and implying she would distribute them, demanding money to prevent the release. In addition to this case, A is reportedly on trial for drug-related charges at the Seoul Central District Court. The Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors’ Office is also investigating other cases involving A.
A representative from the Gyeonggi Nambu Police Agency stated, “It is true that we are investigating BJ A, but as the case is under investigation, we cannot disclose further details.”
On November 15, a representative from Kim Junsu’s agency, Palm Tree Island, released a statement regarding the matter:
“In this incident, Kim Junsu is the victim. I want to emphasize that Junsu is not the only victim of A; many others have also been affected by her extortion and threatening behavior. Kim Junsu has become aware of this and has decided to take legal action to prevent further harm.” As the case is currently in the court’s trial stage, we cannot disclose detailed information. However, we want to reaffirm that Kim Junsu has not committed any illegal or criminal acts in this matter. He is a victim in this case.”
Kim Junsu, who left TVXQ with Kim Jaejoong to form JYJ, recently held a joint concert with Kim Jaejoong. He is set to appear in the new musical “Aladdin” starting on November 22.
